Basel and the History of Medicine
The University and Faculty of Medicine are associated with names and dynasties such as Platter, Bernoullli, Euler or Zwinger. A particularly valuable and important exhibit is the skeleton prepared in 1532 by Andreas Vesal, the world's oldest prepared anatomical specimen on display in the Pharmazie-Historisches Museum.
